Pain

Was alone and was in sickness
With nobody to accompany in the darkness
Meandering in unending forest
Not availing a moment’s rest
Wondering in search for the way out
That proved to be the toughest bout
Due to my own selection
Was estranged from love and affection
This was making me mad
Thought should better be dead
Tears drizzled from the eye
Only walls to hear that cry

Nobody to console in clouded dawn
This May be my first uneasy yawn
Had to be engulfed by darkness
That unending agony and bitterness
Was indispensable for transformation
Would lead to a new formation
With this only ray of hope
Started climbing on a steep slope
Tumbling several times along the way
Now not fearing to fall in the bay
Continued my formative stint
Searching for sparkling glint
A glint to illuminate my soul
Thus completing me and filling the hole
God knows where the life takes the next turn
But there should be at least something to learn
Now in the hope of this positive
I complete my this narrative

17 on 1

When I first came to gurgaon everything seemed very costly except one thing….the gurgaon public auto. This auto actually is a small tempo and there can as much as 17 to 18 people on it. Just wondering about people density in that small area and that area is mobile….just think of the drivers perfection…its a wonder how that driver sitting in that small space is able to drive…its density although is less than density of people in mumbai local train but the thing is at least in locals driver compartment is different so he is unaffected by all the mishaps of passenger area but here driver is actually can be a victim of the passenger behavior. One good thing about this is amount these autos charged is fixed at 5rs. So whether one has to go 1 km or 5-7 km charges are fixed. I am saying 5-7 km because the one route they drop you on is not greater than 5-7 km. And this service is almost a doorstep service because they wd stop at any damn place that u tell them to stop in route. It makes sense to go in these auto because no other public transport is available and this is really cheap…drivers benefit because they make almost 100 Rs per trip. So cheap, speedy and littleJ uncomfortable.

One more way to cheaply reach some selected places is shared cabs…these are generally called call centre cabs…when a driver after dropping ppl is going to the place where he began he picks up ppl waiting to go to some common place and drops them at that place and he earn almost 50Rs without having to spend anything as he was going to that place only…ppl reach destination by only spending 5rs and sometimes in very luxurious cars like innova, etc. that actually is a greener option as driver otherwise wd reach destination ,without dropping ppl, alone and ppl wd go by some other means and wd waste fuel….

A Poem written by me dedicated to my team's success

Hi Guys,
I have written a poem dedicated to my team's success. Our team got the best team award at Evalueserve and I expressed my feeling in following way....

The day came as the idyllic surprise
Our team got the best team prize
Our hearts reverberated with joy
And atmosphere filled with hue and cry
Now with belly full of confidence and joy
Everybody jumped as in to touch the sky

But I know behind that jubilation
Was everybody’s highest contribution
Victory always has hard work as its ingredient
And that is how outcome is so radiant
And not to forget smart work also played its role
Which was very crucial to achieve the goal

Now everybody has right to feel great
Because That win is made out of his sweat
That was also the victory of our team spirit
And award surely uplifted everybody‘s spirit
Now is the time to enjoy and party hard
We know in future we have to break many record

This award would always be close to our heart
Whether tomorrow we be together or some bit apart
Would always remember this ecstatic moment
And feel nostalgic about this beautiful present

A Beautiful Trip to Shimla

To forget my all worries and virtually to get away from all the tensions which were rising like crude and Indian stock market till recently, I planned to go to Shimla....after living in Gurgaon it would seem to be the city of god and Gurgaon, of course, city of India(or city of demons). Jokes apart....The plan for the trip started when I received a call from my friend Bogna (Polish) saying that she along with some friends is planning to go to Shimla....as I have no respect for planning the things early I told her that i need little time to think and revert back when made ma mind. Which was not to happen till last day ,1st oct. Then I decided to leave all ma worries here and finally went home from office early at 6...Quickly squeezing all the things that I can remember and can come in that bag I left for Delhi around 7; not caring for how much money I had in ma pocket.I wanted to go to Shimla by bus or simply put had to go by bus because no reserved train tickets were available...I was in the cab and going...then I don’t know what came to ma mind i decided to go by train...I somehow managed to reach old Delhi station on time and then met Bogna there with 2 more gals Audrey and Irene...they were of course traveling with reservation and I had to travel by general...But I took this brave decision.
The atmosphere when i entered in general compartments was awesome . Ma fellow travelers were insects, mosquito and normal and abnormal human beings. After persisting (with little good Indian Language abuses) that i wd sit here to ma fellow traveler who was comfortably sleeping on a single sit while rest were squeezing 5-6 on a single seat, i got the luxury to sit(one of the abnormal human being). I removed ma shoes and put them on the fan(One of the luxuries one gets only with Indian Rail). While traveling i had the luxury of a nap but when I woke up I saw little flying helicopters landing in ma hair. Ma fellow passenger was blissfully unaware of the Airport terminal he had in his hair and was sleeping care free. I decided against sleeping now...But ma lil friends had decided to make ma night difficult or as an optimist wd put it ma night memorable...at 3:30 i finally decided to go to sleeper class no matter what TC would do to me or to ma pocket . The station was Ambala. Then came Chandigarh. I had a faint idea that in Chandigarh rules are generally followed so to not take risk I got off from sleeper class with ma luggage and sat on desk outside. But sleep was not the solace that i desired there...so i decided to go to the door and sit there (ma favorite place while traveling in train). The night was beautiful. The gloominess was adorable. I don’t know why sometime there is a secret pleasure in melancholy also…so I was loving that moment and was almost wishing that Kalka station never comes...
So at Kalka I went to ma girl Friends (J) and wake them up who were comfortably sleeping. The dawn was beautiful. We took the ticket to Shimla in the toy train...the same train over which famous ”Chhaya-2” song was picturised. This trains passes through 103 tunnels so plenty of opportunity for cuddling and many other things to do...This train trip was very good on social front as well met some good ppl. But last couple of ours was quite boring....the trains took whole 7 hours instead of 5 for 90kms... finally reached Shimla at 2pm and straightaway rushed to one of our friend’s, Mussarat, home. She is native of Shimla. Had some good home made delicious cuisines. After that we visited beautiful Mall Road. Good thing is that vehicles are not allowed in this street and in nearby area…so very purity of air can be felt...after heat and dust of Gurgaon I was loving that place...Dim lights, cool breeze, smell of coffee, so many jovial faces was making ambiance exotic.
Next day we went to Indian Institute of Advanced Studies. This place boast of Scottish Architecture. The famous Shimla Conference was hosted by this institute .This institute in its backside has botanical garden. According to some book guide the way to go to IIAS is just like the way from London to Hogwarts. I think that was an exaggeration but the way is beautiful. From there we decided to go to Polo fields”The Glen” by hitchhiking. In the way we found some government officials who dropped us to some nearby place….then we found a military colonel who took us to practice golf course for army ppl ”Annagdale”. There we visited golf course and spent some good time visiting Museum. While returning back again by Hitchhiking we got a goods vehicle carrying cement and when we got off it we were all in cement and then started rubbing cement on each other which was fun...then got back to our hotel and then had some good Chinese food.
Next day we got up early at 4:30 and at five we left to Narkanda which according to some guide book offers difficult condition for tracking and hiking....On asking to one local whom we knew, he suggested to cover half distance with cab and rest on feet but as we all were looking to some good tracking challenge we decided to not take cab...took some extra warm cloths, sticks, water, food and then set out for our journey....but when we started tracking we realized that nothing was needed as the temperature was not that low and rather conditions were amicable. All the way we had a good laugh on the advice given to us by local. We climbed for 10Km and reached a beautiful cliff top (Jako Peak) from there we could see all the nearby peaks. Fogs were covering mountains and clouds touching the peaks of cliffs...so after tracking disappointment that was refreshing...there was a rest house and benches in open..we all took a half an hour nap in nature’s lap...and then set to go...The journey back was quite easy and quick...reached narkanda in less than 2 hrs and then reached Shimla after facing heavy traffics jam...then straightaway left for Gurgaon. Some how managed to reach bus stand quickly. There everything was chaotic. No tickets in Himachal Tourism buses were available for Delhi. Somehow managed to get a seat in Haryana Transport bus and guess what....when conductor came for the ticket I checked my wallet and I had only 200 Rs, which were also borrowed form ma friends brother, which I thought was enough for going back...but it turned out i was wrong and the ticket was costing me 260rs.....well well that’s why ma mom dad always insisted on having good relationship with neighbors and one time I have listened to them and before conductor had come I had said hello to him…now was the time to use great Indian neighbor..I asked him to lend me 60rs(Jaan na pehchaan main tera mehmaan) he happily(I hope) lend me 60 Rs and I took a deep breath…this was one narrow escape…and again an incident to strengthen the belief that people in India are still good…On this good feeling I ended ma journey…

I turn into a critic...jaane tu review

If i have to describe the movie then i may say...a love story set
on the university campus, the kind we see only in cliché-ridden
Bollywood.But I wouldn't be just in that case..as i know there is
more to it...there is a hint of freshness...there is certainly
depiction of some novelty in the movie...when one comes out of
theater one have overall good feelings about the movie...

when I
analyzed and compared with some other movies I was
able to make the
difference...I could see a thinking writer and director...
I realized
that from the conception of Airport ending, song 'pappu cant
dance' and 'Dead Dad';brilliantly played by Naseeruddin shah
(notice his dialogue delivery:impeccable, the way he gives
pauses at the right moment).

Generally ,the moment I can predict what is going to
happen next my interest is lost except when the picturization is
good (this is the thing with me...I dont know about you)...as was
the case in 'Notting hill'...great picturization of a simple plot...
In the movie again there is airport ending but from the
starting they themselves have made fun of it and presented in a way
that have made it not just palatable but delectable...picturization and
lyrics of songs was also applaudable..specifically 'pappu cant dance sala'...
'papppu' is a common name in indian society...and they used it effectively
the song goes into your head quickly....
Sadly my uncle also shares
the name(and he really dance well)...n whenever
I sing the song he
always asks me what's the problem that you see in my dance..

Rehman has shown his sheen with the music...'kahin to' song is
my favorite to listen song..of course 'pappu cant dance sala' is
favorite to watch...although you may feel music not of the highest
Rehman standard like in 'Yuva' but was good enough and he has made
his presence felt...background music has got the better out of the movie.

Performance of all the actors is good...although there
were some scenes in which i could see 'Genelia' (aditi) cracking up...
but she like so many Bollywood actresses has got her beautiful face
and lovely smile to cover it up...'Imran Khan' was more than good for his
first movie...he has got more than just looks that matches with Amir...
'Prateek babbar' (aditi's brother amit) has impressed with his performance
...here again dialogue delivery was special..he has live upto his father's
(Raj babbar) standard for the first movie...

In the end all credit to abbas tyrewala for his good work in directional
debut film..those of you who dont know he has written script earlier also; of
movies like 'Munnabhai MBBS' and 'Maqbool'...despite his previous
successes his this script was rejected four times...before aamir consented
to produce movie..Kudos to aamir also for taking onus of launching his nephew
...and completing work so successfully.

Developement of Indore:what it's lacking

As an true indorian at heart i think this should be my 1st post although couldn't complete in time because everytime i wanted to post i wanted to add more...

1st where Indore stands as compared to other cities...
what would other cities would say to Indore(on a lighter note)--
Mumbai-- Does Indore exist(so little as compared to bombay)?oh...ok i have heard the name.
Surat-- child needs bournvita(Narendra modi) other than normal food(shivraj singh chauhan) for growing fast or fastest(gdp growth of surat).
Chennai-- Rice is the food for intellectual development and all u ppl r interested in poha- ratlami sev(this is for u only khandoo) and dal bati.how ur brain would develop.
And as my frnd khandu(oh....ok....sorry....khandoo) says it 'Indore is the chatora capital of India',ppl r more interested in eating and tryin out different things than spending their entire time in searching intellectual pursuits.
I think i should not go further about cities perspective for the simple reason that no good thoughts are coming.

Now i want to write abt things important for the development and where Indore stands .

Ist and the most important thing is the Connectivity.I believe indore is poor on connectivity in all the three modes air, railway, road.
By road--not only ppl of MP, ppl of other states also would be able to tell u when the borders of MP has started.Although intracity roads of Indore r gettin better thanks to BOT projects but intercity conditions are abysmal.Ask ministers abt that and they would blame it on the soil condition or would not acknowledge the poor condition.
By train--I don't know why a smaller station like 'Khandwa' can have good connectivity but indore can not.Other state's major cities have much better connectivity e.g. ahemdabad has 15 trains to bombay and a single train from Indore,ok...I know there r lot of gujju's in bombay but...still?
By air-- the condition here is better when we compare with roads or rails.Indore airport is going to be international soon so that's a good news. And flights has also started for various cities like jabalpur , hyderabad ,banglore ,raipur ,ahemdabad etc. But things need to improve further.

The 2nd most important thing is the Administrative Policies.
Here by admin. policies i mean creating such an environment by the government so that businessmen are ready to setup Industries and offices in the city and people from other cities and countries are ready to come here and do work. For example state governments in south has provided various facilities to industrialist and process is also fast as compared to MP.
Although Mp government is also trying now but some of the places in other states are developed so much that they have become hub like pune is auto hub , Hyderabed , chennai are electronics hardware hub , banglore is software hub and it would require a lot of extra effort to bring them here.
People of other cities would be ready to come to city if the city has some attraction for them. For example Chadigarh and Jaipur are developed in such way that these cities has a charm associated with them and all other facilities are also available like connectivity is good, education facilities are good. So people are automatically attracted towards these cities.Although education facilities in Indore are also very good but on other aspects it pales in comparison.

Third important thing is the contribution of people of city for its progress--
If i say whatever progress Indore has made is entirely due to its citizens and their efforts most people would agree. As Indore is not the capital of mp very little has been contributed by the government for its progress.
But i always feel there is no big name specially businessman associated with city or there is no such business where we are the best. For example surat for Diamond and sari, kota for coaching etc. Many people do become successful and emigrate and then contributes very little to city. For example sabir bhatia ,after selling hotmail.com and becoming successful entrepreneur, is setting Nano-city in chandigarh, more than billion dollar project, dhirubhai ambani setting refinery in Jamnagar etc shows contribution of businessmen to growth of their cities.Although there are some examples at small level but there has not been such big initiatives in Indore.

But after discussing these negatives i would like to cite some of the recent developments that has taken place--
1)The city bus service and its extension in form of metro taxi.
city bus service--Now the latest developement has been in the form of dedicated lanes for these buses known as Bus Rapid Transit System(BRTS) ;a low cost alternative to metro rail serveices. The development has been exemplary and many cities has emulated it and Mr. E. Sreedhaaran (Delhi Metro) has visited Indore to see the model.
Metro taxi--SX4 cars are used to provide services. One just need to make a call to their no. and they send the nearest available taxi to your doorsteps within short interval.
2)The Build Operate Transfer(BOT) projects are used to bring efficiency and quality in the construction of roads.
3)Development of Gardens--Recently there was a record made on World Garden day of inaugurating 101 gardens on the single day.And government in past also has initiated many such schemes.
4)Now the Indore Developement Authority has started home for middle class scheme. In this scheme govt is alloting land for home development on lottery basis with fixed price on condition that one has to construct home within 4 yrs and can not sell it upto 15yrs.

Finally concluding this long article. In past few years Indore has started catching the attention but there has not been any breakthrough activity which ensures Inodre would have growth faster than other tier-2 cities. So i think growth of Indore would be moderate in upcoming years.
Guys although i have written such a long article i believe i have not included many things so pls do write those things in ur comments.

My philosophy

I read a blog entry from one of my good friend which is about some best moments of your past and can you live them again. If you want to read here's the link to her blog. The title is "Can i live them back"
http://www.shrutigautam.blogspot.com/

After reading following thoughts came to my mind.......

Can I live them back..???…actually we do live them back when one is sitting alone and remembering those beautiful days....a smile comes across his face and then for a moment everything around is just lost and we r in the past..living some most beautiful moments of our life..i think that’s why there’s such a craze of pics with your friends...and that’s why everybody just rushes for the slam book when friends part... because through them he can again remember these moments and live them even for a small time…and after these memories when you are back in present everything seems beautiful to you...you hear the voice of nightingale around you..even your ugly neighbor looks like Katrina to you..sound of your crying nephew seems like music of a.r. rahman....that’s why I believe, songs that generates nostalgia e.g. summer of 69,woh kagaz ki kashti are loved so much because they take you through your best times and make you happy.

But there is a strange thing. when one is living these moments many times he does not realize these r my best days…he is so engrossed in the small problems that he fails to see larger picture…it’s same as when you are in the middle of the mess you just try to get out of it by finding the way out of it but after some time when moment has passed away you are able to see it from the top(guys try to imagine a bit....) and then it seems very beautiful to you; the frame; the complex beautiful creation of god ; and you realize the beauty of life is in living these moments only and not just in getting out of it and achieving the ultimate result. That’s why I say life looks beautiful in retrospection because you see it from top.
